    Passport picture
Yes, we are a passport application acceptance facility! We can submit your application for a new adult passport, a child's passport, or the renewal of a passport issued more than 15 years ago.

Note: To renew an expired passport that is less than 15 years old, you don't need to come in. You may file for the renewal through the mail

When applying for a passport with us, you need to bring all the documents listed here with you -- and don't forget your checkbook for the application fees. We don't accept plastic.

This service is by appointment only. Please call ahead at 382-6011.

    Burbio Calendar Service

We are excited to announce a great service that will allow you to easily keep track of everything going on in Plaistow! Burbio.com is a free website and app that puts school, library, and other local events all in one calendar. You can create a personalized event feed and even sync events to your Google or iPhone calendars! You'll also be notified when events change or get cancelled. Sign up at Burbio.com or download the free iPhone or Android App and follow the calendars that interest you.

  • An Evening of Spooky Retro Sci-Fi

Join us for a night of spooky retro sci-fi fun! We'll celebrate what's considered the first science-fiction movie ever -- A Trip to the Moon -- with a screening featuring live musical accompaniment!

Then we'll revisit the scariest night of radio -- Orson Welles' broadcast of The War of the Worlds -- originally aired almost 80 years ago on October 30, 1938.

Register here and save your seat on this time machine to the days of future past!

  • Join our Book Club(s)!

On the second Wednesday of every month, the library hosts two book club meetings.

We've got Morning Book Club at 10:30AM with Kelli, and Evening Book Club at 6:30PM with Scott. We all read the same book -- and we get extra copies, so you can share in the fun even if you don't come to the discussion groups. We do modern fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction, biographies -- you name it, we'll try it!

Book Club is a great way to meet new people from town, or just read something outside of your usual stuff. Join us!
